Session Information

Endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) is a time-sensitive, minimally invasive treatment for ischemic stroke that restores cerebral blood flow by removing arterial clots, with success measured using the TICI scale. This interactive workshop highlights the critical, site-specific role of the neuroscience nurse in reducing door-to-needle time by coordinating multidisciplinary communication, managing sedation and patient stabilization, and supporting EVT procedures within the University of Alberta Neurosciences Program.
