The Clinical Frailty Scale is used to determine appropriate admission to an Acute Care of the Elderly (ACE) unit which opened in St. John's, NL in June 2025. A look at how using the ACE Philosophy improved the outcome for patients 65 or older with an acute illness. In particular, a focus on how years of advocating for stroke patients prepared staff to advocate for ACE patients to return to the community with a better quality of life.
